Well, it's been a ride, we've had a lot of fun, and we might not have followed all the rules while we were doing it, but (for the most part) we tried. I sure had a lot of fun this year, and I hope y'all did too. It's almost absurd to think that I am half of my way through High School, but it's even more absurd to think of all of the seniors that are leaving us this year. Awesome people like: @daniel, @cmscarpino, @joemaggio, and @stephanie. To all of you awesome seniors, and to those slightly less completely awesome seniors, I shall give you several words of my humble advice. Advice that has been passed on to me through many generations and has not let a single member of my family down over the years.
I pass on this advice to you because I care, and it is simple advice. Here it is. Don't fail. See? Very simple. Two words in fact. However, this advice is very sound, logical, and good advice. If you live your life following it, you shall be sure to succeed.
Now, on to you troublesome Juniors. Look out! Cause I'm going to be a Junior next year and you're gonna have to deal with me. (In a nice way of course) Don't worry, I won't make your class look like a total loss...Just kidding, to you, Junior class of 2014, I say this, "Keep pedaling, 'cause you're almost there." Of course, "almost there" just means your almost completed with a %20 of your life and your about to spend another %5 percent of it doing more school, but hey, your time to shock the world with your amazingness has almost come.
To the Sophomores, the little ragtag wannabe awesome class. I have few words for you, I know many of you very well, I know less of you more than I should, and I know half of you twice as well as you know me. However, I think we're gonna make it. We've got a lot to live up to. The seniors this year really set the mark high for us, but every single one of us is an achiever, and the achiever can rise to every occasion, so to you I say, "Work hard, and be happy." We still have a lot of our life to live, a lot to learn, and a lot to look forward to.
Well, of course, I can't forget the Fishies. Since I really actually don't know most of you half as well as you deserve, I will keep it brevis et dulcis. You've still got a long road ahead of you, but you've also almost finished one of the hardest transitions of life, the transition from a child, to an adult. You're doing well, and I know you'll all fill the empty abyss that my class will leave quite nicely.
Lastly, to you middle schoolers. I get ready to put on your thinking caps, schools just about to get harder, but don't worry, cause you're about to get smarter. You hold the future of this program in your hands, cherish that burden, and work hard to deserve it, I'm sure you already do.
That was my (not so short) farewell to you all. I hope to see each and every one of you here next year, but until then, I wish you God's guidance and grace in all that you do and say.
God bless,
Peter Maggio
President of the Sophomore Class
